Jeannie Dale class of 2021 and double major in Studio Art and Art History has been selected to participate in the 13th Annual Undergraduate Art History Symposium through the Visual Culture Consortium, Boston. Jeannie read her Art History Thesis paper, ‘Inwards and Upwards: Hilma af Klint, Wassily Kandinsky, and a Theosophic Approach to Abstraction’ on April 17th via zoom.

Reflecting on this experience, Jeannie wrote “This April I had the opportunity to present my Art History Thesis paper titled ‘Inwards and Upwards: Hilma af Klint, Wassily Kandinsky, and a Theosophic Approach to Abstraction’ at Boston’s Visual Cultural Consortium via zoom webinar. It was a really cool experience to meet the other undergrad students, and to hear the research they had been working on this year. I loved getting feedback and questions about my paper from the panelists. This experience helped me to connect with students from other schools working on the same process as me, as well as think about areas in which I could further my research in the future. ”
